Gradual sunshading with electronically tintable glass

VELUX roof windows with SageGlass® system provides sunshading at the touch of a button thanks to its electrochromic coating, which darkens the glass without obstructing the view. A choice of  levels of tinting offers a pleasant room temperature and sun and glare protection no matter the intensity of the sun.

SageGlass® by Saint-Gobain is electronically tintable glass which allows sunlight to be controlled without the need for external blinds or roller shutters.

Glare and heat are kept under control while allowing an unobstructed view of the outdoors.

Clear

At times with no sun we recommend to keep the pane in clear position.

First intermediate level

One touch of the button gives slight tinting – perfect at times with a mixture of clouds and sun.

Second intermediate level

At times with a clear sky and sun the next level will provide a higher degree of tinting.

Dark

The darkest level of tinting gives maximum sun and glare protection at times with direct sunlight and a clear sky.

Four-step easy operation

The VELUX Electrochrome roof window comes complete with a four-step switch* and 15 m long cable. A scale of coloured LED light clearly shows which level of tinting is active.

* Not compatible with VELUX INTEGRA® and io-homecontrol.
